INTERNET on BlackBerry without BlackBerry Services

Now a day’s BlackBerry phones are very popular because of its look, functionality, etc. But surfing internet or using email is very costly. Don’t worry tricks are there and its very simple.

First of all activate your GPRS service. Don’t be confused, I am talking about normal GPRS we use to activate for internet surfing it’s not the wap service which is already activated. Insert your sim in some another non blackberry phone and ensure the GPRS service started or not.

Mean while download Opera Mini java application (compatible with BlackBerry) using your PC and transfer the application to your phone by either Bluetooth or install it on to your mobile through BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

  • When GPRS is ready, insert the sim in your BB.
  • Switch on the phone and navigate to setting > Advance Setting> TCP IP Setting

Here write the access point name of your GPRS service provider. some commonly used settings are listed bellow. In case of other operator, please knock me in my mail or leave a comments.

Airtel – airtelgprs.com

BSNL – bsnlnet

IDEA – internet

Vodaphone – www

After configuring the setting just save it and you are done. Open opera mini and enjoy the internet without paying lot of money.

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
